Open-source intelligence (OSINT) is gathering information from public sources available to everyone, and connecting the pieces to reach a conclusion. In CTF challenges you might be given a photo and asked where it was taken, or a username to trace across platforms. The skill is less about special tools and more about a methodical way of thinking: where to start, how to verify, and how to connect one piece of evidence to another. This lesson introduces that method and its ethical limits.
